We are here for you

Meet the Team

We have an excellent team who share our vision to make the funeral as personalised and as dignified as you would wish.

Ian George

Having studied music, I have the knowledge and natural ability to combine music with funerals, something which I feel is of great importance! My family and friends have described me as having a ‘slightly quirky sense of humour’, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I have several hobbies including, cooking, gardening, walking, ‘supping’ real ale and supporting several charities.

I also have a keen interest in aviation, and in 2000 I obtained my Private Pilot’s Licence. Denesha and I have two sons and have recently became Grandparents for the first time.

Alan Clarkson

I was employed in various managerial capacities both in the Flour Milling Industry and at B and Q. I enjoy gardening, DIY and walking and I am a keen Gloucester Rugby supporter.

Alastair Hamill

Ex-military veteran. Excellent interpersonal skills including empathy and emotional support, skills that are transferable with the role of funeral assistant and pall bearer.

David Hargreaves

Ex Regular Army. Followed by a career in the Telecommunications Industry specialising in Software Solutions supporting engineering developments

Denesha George

Denesha is a former Early Years teacher. She has been working full time with Ian since 2016 when she retired from teaching. Her interests are music (huge fan); swimming; walking; yoga and reading.

Guy Winnen

Formerly a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages but now a copy-editor and proofreader, Guy’s interests are, among others, walking, photography and cookery.

John Stemp

Former Managing Director of MG Windows. Ian and John became good friends when he did John’s mother’s funeral. John enjoys rugby, trainspotting and visiting North Wales.

Julian Capewell

Retired sales and marketing professional, specialising in the property and hospitality industries. Julian is an active rugby follower and also enjoys tennis and running.

Malcolm Williams

Joiner / Maintenance manager retired. Malcolm is a member of Churchdown male voice choir and Gloucester and Severnside Co-op Bowls club. He also also tends two half allotments and likes fly fishing.

Richard Mussell

Ex-Regular Army, in communications all my life. Now retired to a life of comparative leisure and avoidance of stress and responsibility.

Tim George

Tim is a paramedic and helps out whenever he can.
